CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT: Andy Armanino

Adapt and change

This is our second Moore Global Annual Review and what a year it has been. COVID-19 hit in early 2020 and changed the world. It was no longer possible to think “business as usual.”

For the past several years, we have been discussing the need to adapt and change in this VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) world we live in but in 2020 we had no choice, and adapt we did.

We made great progress in several areas:

Governance

  • The new Global Board and Regional Councils were formed and began working together to address our opportunities and challenges.
  • A Finance/Remuneration committee and Quality and Standards Board were established and provided valuable oversight.
  • The new governance has created closer global alignment, more transparency and accountability.

Strategy

  • The Board refreshed the strategy which gives us a clear direction for the next three years.
  • All regions have been supportive of the strategic direction.
  • Many firms have embraced the global strategy and are aligning their own strategy with it.

Finance

  • At the beginning of COVID, 2020’s financial outlook was very precarious. Under our Global CEO Anton Colella’s leadership a number of very prudent steps were taken, ensuring 2020 ended with positive financial results.

Team

  • Last, but certainly not to be forgotten, is our team. The team that serves you has been our biggest investment and biggest asset of the organization.
  • They have had a huge impact across all areas.
  • They are restless for excellence and we can expect them to create even more value for many years to come.

At Moore Global, we are on a journey to differentiate ourselves from all others and become “the most respected professional services network.”

And, while 2020 presented severe challenges, this journey continued. We made great strides in creating a global identity based on strong relationships, a deeper penetration into our firms through programs like Moore Ambition, and a collective desire to be a force of good for our clients, our people, and the world.

We’re building for success, as we have shown during this past year and will continue to do in the years ahead.
